Linvilla Orchards to Host Apple Festival on Sept. 27

Linvilla Orchards in Media will mark the beginning of this year's apple harvest with its annual Apple Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will include autumnal activities, food, and entertainment from the family-owned farm. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 28.

During the event, guests will be invited to visit the orchards to pick from more than two dozen apple varieties. Guests can also stop by the farm market and bakery to enjoy fresh pies, apple cider doughnuts, and caramel apples.

The festival lineup will feature child-friendly performances by Silly Joe and live music from local performers between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Pony rides, face painting, hayrides, games, and a petting zoo will also be available.

Pumpkinland, Linvilla's most-anticipated fall attraction, will also be open to the public. The display, which runs through Nov. 2, includes oversized figures, scarecrows, and pumpkins of all sizes scattered throughout the farm.

Linvilla Orchards is at 137 West Knowlton Road in Media. Tickets for selected Apple Festival experiences are available for purchase on the Linvilla Orchards website.
