Although the summer visitation season is wrapping up, there are still plenty of warm-weather days to make the most of an autumnal celebration in Margate.
The Margate Business Association's annual event, Fall Funfest by The Bay, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 27 and 28, in the Marina District on Amherst Avenue.
Funfest 2025 will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28. More than 110 booths will showcase handmade fine arts, crafts, amusements, foods, local retailers, commercial sponsors, nonprofit organizations, and municipal departments from Margate City.
In addition, Funfest will feature the following activities:
- Children's programming
- 11 live bands and performers on the Main Stage and 12 acts on the Kid's Stage
- Scott's Dock Wetlands Wonderland
- Two parades featuring Miss New Jersey
- Costumed characters offering meet-and-greet experiences along the avenue
- A beer garden with various beverage selections
- The Tito's Handmade Vodka Bloody Mary tent
On Saturday evening, Sept. 27, Funfest After Dark: Definitely Not for Kids will feature wine and spirits tastings and light bites. The After Dark experience will include live music, classic rock, sing-alongs, and musical jams.
Now in its 24th year, Funfest attracts thousands of guests who want to enjoy the venue, bayfront promenade, and the community of Margate, according to Downbeach.com.
