The Philadelphia Fall Arts Fest is returning to the city this Saturday, Sept. 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Held at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the free event will feature festival-style performances, tours of the Marian Anderson House, and more than 50 regional arts organizations. From tap, jazz, and ballet to opera, Broadway, and classical demonstrations, this dynamic event will deliver plenty of cultural experiences for visitors to enjoy.
“Our annual Philadelphia Fall Arts Fest is central to our mission as a nonprofit dedicated to sharing the transformative power of the performing arts and arts education with the widest possible audience,” said Ryan Fleur, president and CEO of Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts, told Metro Philadelphia. “Built around the power of partnerships and our commitment to amplifying local artistry as well as global talent, this festival is a reminder that our city's arts and culture community is stronger together.”
Both stages at the Kimmel will include performances from shows coming to the city as part of Ensemble Arts' 2025-2026 Broadway season. Performers expected to attend will represent the following:
- The Chocolate Ballerina Company
- Esperanza Arts Center
- Née Danse/Theatre
- Opera Philadelphia
- Philadelphia Ballet
- The Philly Pops
- Project 440
- SHARP Dance Company
- Tony-winning Best Musical Kimberly Akimbo and The Sound of Music
A complete schedule of performers is available online.
Festival participants from adults to children will also be able to enjoy several interactive experiences. These include a "Keep Music Alive" instrument petting zoo and a table from the local Alice Paul Museum for Gender Justice.
The famous DeLorean from Back to the Future The Musical, which will premiere in Philadelphia in November, will be parked outside the Kimmel Center for photo opportunities. A friendship-bracelet making station will be available, and attendees will also be invited to lie on the stage of Marian Anderson Hall to feel the rumbles from the Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ.
