The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville has unveiled its fall 2025 lineup. The season ahead will feature a film festival, live music, special film screenings, and cultural events.
The season begins with the third annual Phoenixville Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 18–21. It will feature four days of independent cinema, filmmaker panels, workshops, and a closing awards ceremony. Fans of classic cinema can also anticipate the return of Noir City, a three-day film noir showcase hosted by Eddie Muller, president of the Film Noir Foundation, from Nov. 14–16. Women whose performances helped define the genre will spotlight the series.
Live music will take center stage with a dynamic concert series. Indie folk and rock group Tucked In will perform on Sept. 12 as part of the group's 2025 Roughest Roads Tour. Local artist James Clark will open for the performance. Guitar virtuoso Eric Johnson headlines on Oct. 1, while tribute bands Know Return and Fooling Ourselves deliver the sounds of Kansas and Styx on Nov. 8. Comedy kicks off with the improv troupe Better Than Bacon on Sept. 26.
The Colonial's programming will also feature the following cultural celebrations this fall:
- Hispanic Heritage Month screenings of films will feature Selena, Disney's Encanto, and the 1953 Mexican drama El.
- An all-night horror-thon and special screenings of classics define October. Audiences can watch Ghostbusters, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloween, Nosferatu, and The Sixth Sense. Fans can also join themed events like a Rocky Horror Picture Show 50th anniversary celebration, which will include a flash mob and costume contest.
