Frankie Grande, a well-known performer and social media star with Broadway credits and TV appearances, is ready to the do the Time Warp again. Grande will reprise his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in “Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show” at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania, from Oct. 10 through Nov. 2.
While the production has been a record-breaking success in 2023 and 2024 for the Playhouse, this year could be the last at the Playhouse, according to a Patch of New Hope-Lambertville report. Production rights will not be available in 2026.
Performances are scheduled Tuesday through Sunday from Oct. 10 through Nov. 2, with ticket prices starting at $75. A limited number of $39 tickets will be available for each performance via an online lottery, along with group discounts. All audience members will be invited to dance the Time Warp on stage with the cast.
This production is made possible by a creative team led by resident director Greg Santos and featuring scenic, costume, lighting, and sound designs by a team headed by Jeffrey Perri, Nicole V. Moody, and others.
Directed by Playhouse Artistic Associate Hunter Foster with choreography by Shannon Lewis, the show boasts a talented cast. Returning actors include Jordan Bollwerk as Brad Majors, Natalie Welch as Janet Weiss, Tim Shea as Riff Raff, Alyssa Wray as Magenta, and Stanley Martin as Eddie, alongside Madeline Benoit as Columbia and Patrick Richwood Dr. Scott and the narrator.
Based on the cult classic 1975 film, the musical follows college students Brad and Janet as they encounter the eccentric Dr. Frank-N-Furter in a mysterious castle, where he conducts a maniacal experiment to create Rocky, with themes of sci-fi, comedy, and musical parody. Given the nature of the subject matter, parental discretion is advised.
