The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will host its 19th annual Mutt Strut fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 4, to help make Philadelphia a no-kill city. This event will be held at the Marine Parade Grounds at The Navy Yard, located at 4747 S. Broad St. in Philadelphia.

Taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event features activities such as an agility course, a Halloween costume contest, a one-mile walk along the Delaware River, vendors, food trucks, live music, and a beer garden for adults organized by Dock Street Brewing.

Registration to participate in the Mutt Strut is open for individuals and teams. The event welcomes all participants, whether they have pets or not.

Proceeds from the Mutt Strut support PAWS programs such as rescue and adoption services, affordable veterinary care, and initiatives aimed at keeping pets in their homes. Last year's Mutt Strut attracted hundreds of participants and successfully raised funds for PAWS' initiatives.
