In commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month in Philadelphia, the seventh annual Latin American Book Fair, sponsored by the Free Library of Philadelphia and organized in collaboration with the Mexican Cultural Center, celebrates Mexico as its guest country of honor this year.

It takes place on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 11am-4pm. This year's book fair will be the first time that the Kimmel Center will host the event.

Fair attendees can discover various engaging activities, including book signings, visits with more than 30 authors, live music, children's activities, and workshops designed to appeal to diverse audiences. Admission to the event is free. (La entrada es gratuita.)

Notable participants include Philadelphia-based Latina muralist and children's book illustrator Cindy Lozito, whose art has appeared at the World Trade Center and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Lozito has been published in The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

Odilón Adán Robles will bring his third literary project to this year's fair. His work is a romance novel that continues his exploration of human potential and freedom of thought.
