Philadelphia 76ers legend Allen Iverson is set to release a three-part docuseries titled Allen Iv3rson, backed by the production companies of NBA legends Shaquille O'Neal and Stephen Curry. It will air on Prime Video beginning Oct. 23. The series promises unprecedented access to Iverson's personal and professional life, including his background and his journey through fame and controversy.
Drafted No. 1 in the 1996 NBA draft, Iverson won Rookie of the Year, became an NBA All-Star, and took the Sixers to their last NBA Finals appearance in 2001. Iverson played 10 seasons in Philly before moving to the Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, and Memphis Grizzlies. Iverson came back to Philly to close his career and retired as a Sixer.
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, "This docuseries will be a treat for Sixers fans, who have watched Iverson step back in the spotlight locally and grow closer to the franchise he carried for a decade."
The docuseries will be the first time that Iverson will speak out about his NBA experience and share details about his personal life.
“I'm ready to tell my story my way, authentic and unapologetically,” Iverson said in an interview with sneaker blog writer Nick DePaula in 2024. “I look forward to people seeing a side of me they haven't seen before.”
