The Philadelphia Zoo is hosting its annual Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo, during three weekends in October. Guests can visit on Saturdays, Oct. 11, 18, and 25; Sundays, Oct. 12, 19, and 26; and an additional date on Monday, Oct. 13. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festive Halloween-themed event will feature various Halloween activities suitable for families:

  • Costume dress-up
  • Seasonal decorations
  • Photo opportunities
  • Fall snacks
  • Children's programming

Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the zoo grounds and see animal exhibits decorated with Halloween-themed elements, such as pumpkins.

While visitors are encouraged to wear costumes, toy weapons and adult masks are not permitted.

In addition to the main activities, a special sensory-friendly morning will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. This event offers a quieter environment with a lower music volume, smaller crowds, and designated quiet areas.

Admission to Boo at the Zoo is included with regular zoo entry and membership. General admission tickets start at $34 on these dates.

The Philadelphia Zoo is at 3400 W. Girard Ave. For more information on this and other upcoming programs, visit The Philadelphia Zoo's website.
