Experience Philly’s First Hocus Pocus Speakeasy and Cocktail Adventure at Red Rum Theater

This fall, Red Rum Theater teams up with Pops McCann Whiskey to conjure a magical and thrilling Philadelphia Hocus Pocus Speakeasy and Cocktail Experience like no other. From October 3 through November 15, 2025, get ready for a bewitching blend of spooky season shenanigans, live performances, and immersive murder mystery fun at The Curtis (601 Walnut Street).

The month-long pop-up invites guests to step into an immersive world where witches, cocktails, and murder mystery mayhem mix for unforgettable weekends and Fridays filled with themed events like Hocus Pocus Bingo, Sips & Psychics, and even a Rocky Horror Cocktail Experience. Join the Sanderson Sisters every Saturday for a hands-on cocktail session where you'll craft and sip three magical “potions” alongside spellbinding performances and games.

The murder mysteries offer a wicked variety of themes, from a Schitt’s Creek-inspired whodunit titled A Rose Colored Murder, to Murder of Oz, a sharp and satirical take on Wicked and The Wizard of Oz, and Deadly Dancing, a thrilling Dirty Dancing-themed suspense. Moreover, there’s a special singles event, The Great Singles Heist, on October 15 for those looking for a little mystery and mingling.

Costumes are strongly encouraged, and inhibitions left at the door, because this 21+ event promises drinks that pack a punch and nights full of fun and fright. The Philadelphia Hocus Pocus Speakeasy and cocktail experience is located discreetly inside The Curtis near popular restaurants and wrapped in theatrical intrigue.
