Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts let his shoes do the talking in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hurts, a Jordan Brand athlete, wore a custom-made pair of Jordan 11 cleats, with the phrase “Jawn Air” written on the tongue.
“I felt like this was an [Jordan] 11 type of day, and it was a ‘Jawn Air' type of day, and it held true, so it was good to wear those,” Hurts shared with The Philadelphia Inquirer. The Eagles beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 31-25, on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
Hurts said he custom-designed the Jordan 11 cleats during the summer. They feature an all-white design with black Jumpman logos and 'Jawn Air' stitched in black lettering on the tongues of the shoes.
For those outside Pennsylvania, “Jawn” is a noun used to describe a person, place, thing, or event that one does not or cannot give a specific name to, according to SI.com.
Hurts is no stranger to custom footwear. He debuted a “Love Hurts” pair of Jordan Retro 11 black-and-white cleats in the Eagles' season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
While Hurts' exclusive cleats are not available for purchase, online shoppers can find Air Jordan 11 football cleats for $220 in adult sizes at DICK's Sporting Goods and limited sizes at a discount at Nike.
