The Cartoon Network Hotel, located close to Dutch Wonderland along Route 30 in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, will rebrand as the Dutch Wonderland Inn in late March 2026. Renovations to the property will begin in January 2026, when the existing hotel will close to the public.
Originally opened in January 2020 with 165 rooms themed around Cartoon Network characters like Adventure Time and The Powerpuff Girls, the hotel was licensed under a Cartoon Network contract. It was the first of its kind nationwide.
According to a Lancaster Online report, the contract with the Cartoon Network is ending and isn't being renewed, said Lynsey Winters, a spokesperson for Palace Entertainment, owner of Dutch Wonderland. Winters declined to disclose details about negotiations over the contract's renewal.
The new Dutch Wonderland Inn will have 155 family-friendly rooms, including four suites. Amenities will include themed dining, an arcade, indoor and outdoor pools with water slides and splash pads, and a restaurant for hotel guests and the public.
Rates for the Dutch Wonderland Inn will start at $229 per night for Stay and Play packages that will include accommodations and up to three single-day tickets for the park.
Dutch Wonderland, owned by Palace Entertainment since 2010, is a 48-acre amusement park with more than 35 rides and attractions located along Route 30 across from the Tanger Outlets.
Cartoon Network is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, which acquired the network in 2022 from Turner Broadcasting System. The Cartoon Network was launched in 1992, one year after Turner bought Hanna-Barbera Productions, producer of classic TV cartoon characters such as The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and The Smurfs.
Warner Bros. did not reply to an email from Lancaster Online seeking comment about the closing of The Cartoon Network Hotel.
