Boo at the Zoo is back and bigger than ever at Philadelphia Zoo for 2025, inviting families to experience the city’s largest Halloween celebration across three weekends and an added weekday this October. This beloved event draws tens of thousands of guests in costume for festive trick-or-treat safaris, animal enrichments, and hands-on activities for all ages.

New highlights for this year include a not-so-scary haunted house, the Halloween-themed SEPTA PZ “Boo” Choo Train, lively costume parades with a chance to win a Family Membership, Pumpkin Putt Putt mini golf, Frightful Flora garden tours, and even more “eerie-sistable” educational experiences. Don’t miss the Trick-or-Tree House dance party with a live DJ, haybale maze, and secret candy station—free for Zoo members and only $5 for non-members.

Animal lovers can take in the seasonal pumpkin feedings and enrichment sessions with everything from hippos and giant tortoises to gorillas, big cats, and fruit bats. The Zoo’s culinary lineup features frightfully delicious treats like pumpkin spice lattes, mummy dogs, a foot-long “Franken Dog,” and the Cursed Pizza with pumpkin puree and gouda.

Boo at the Zoo runs Saturdays (October 11, 18, 25), Sundays (October 12, 19, 26) and Monday (October 13) with early Sensory-Friendly Hours on October 11. Admission includes all Boo festivities for both ticket holders and Zoo members, who also enjoy exclusive perks and access.
