Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Longswamp Township, Berks County, is investing significantly in its winter offerings. This winter, upgrades to skiing and snowboarding facilities and food services will enhance the guest experience.
According to LehighValleyNews.com, the resort has installed 10 new fully automated snow guns that adjust to weather conditions. The new equipment aims to boost snow production, allow for earlier terrain opening, and create a longer-lasting snowpack, according to a media release from the resort.
In addition, Bear Creek Mountain Resort has installed more than 4,500 feet of snowmaking pipe to improve snow coverage.
“Guests can look forward to smoother coverage, better trail conditions, and more time on the slopes, no matter what Mother Nature has in store,” Bear Creek Marketing Director Gary Kline said in the release.
The resort also announced that season passes are now on sale.
In addition to enhancements on the slopes, Bear Creek has announced new food offerings for guests. A Snack Shack at Kodiak and Black Bear, along with a coffee and hot chocolate stand in the former Polar Bar, will offer convenient options for quick bites and warm drinks.
The popular Waffle Cabin will also return, offering Belgian waffles drizzled with chocolate or maple syrup.
Bear Creek Mountain Resort is at 101 Doe Mountain Lane in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
