Sesame Place Philadelphia has appointed Michael Taylor its new president. The Bucks County amusement park leader started in the entertainment industry at Sesame Place in 1998 as a seasonal team member.

A Bucks County native and lifelong visitor, Taylor grew up visiting Sesame Place and now shares these experiences with his three young daughters.

“Visiting the park with my children helps me see firsthand how we can make this the greatest theme park in the Northeast,” Taylor shared with The Patch of Levittown. “I'm thrilled to be back. Sesame Place Philadelphia is a generational experience, and I'm honored to lead a destination that brings so much joy to so many families."

Taylor brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality and entertainment to his new role at Sesame Place. This experience includes nearly a decade serving as the park's director of operations, leading initiatives like the launch of the Park Quality department to improve the park's performance and guest experience.

According to Taylor, the Sesame Place team is concentrating on creating a “more seamless, satisfying experience” for families by increasing the attraction's availability, diversifying and improving the park's food offerings, and enhancing the park's value for guests and season pass members.

According to the park's website, Sesame Place is the only theme park on the East Coast based entirely on the award-winning show, Sesame Street. The park has over 25 Sesame Street-themed attractions, character shows, parades, an interactive Sesame Street Neighborhood, and experiences with Sesame Street characters like Elmo and The Count.
