After closing all 800 of its full-sized stores earlier this year, Party City is making a comeback. The former party supply retailer is opening smaller versions of itself within Staples stores, focusing on seasonal items, costumes, and party supplies.

The Party City "store within a store" sections will be placed near the front entrances of select Staples stores, such as the Staples in Deptford, New Jersey.

According to a local Facebook post, the Staples and Party City collaborations will also be coming to Cherry Hill, the Marlton Staples on Route 70, and the Moorestown Staples in East Gate.

42Freeway.com noted that little public information has been released about the store's return to Staples. An NJBiz article stated that the new owners of the specialty retailer, Hillside-based party goods supplier New Amscan PC LLC, are concentrating on making the brand more accessible to consumers. The chain launched an e-commerce platform and supports 26 franchise stores in Arkansas, California, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. A franchise location also exists in South Plainfield, New Jersey.

In September, Party City announced a partnership with third-party delivery firm DoorDash. This collaboration brings inflated balloons, themed décor, costumes, and party essentials directly to customers' doorsteps.

A spokesperson did not immediately respond to requests for more information.
