During a recent Holme Circle Civic Association meeting, volunteer "Phambassador" Drew Murray addressed attendees, highlighting the need for volunteers ahead of the nation's 250th birthday celebration next year.

According to The Northeast Times, the Philadelphia Visitor Center is actively recruiting for at least 5,000 Phambassadors to help promote the city during the 250th U.S. anniversary celebrations in 2026. This commemoration will coincide with substantial events in Philadelphia, including select March Madness games, FIFA World Cup matches, and the MLB All-Star Game.

Members of the public are invited to take the pledge to become a Phambassador at Phambassadors.com. For more information, members of the public can follow the Phambassadors on Facebook and Instagram.

The next Holme Circle Civic Association meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at St. Jerome's parish hall, 8100 Colfax St. in Philadelphia.
