The National Dog Show will come back to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks on Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16. Nearly 2,000 dogs from 190 breeds will compete for top honors.

Saturday's competition gets recorded for the National Dog Show Presented by Purina®. NBC will air it nationwide on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2 p.m. The Kennel Club of Philadelphia has held this tradition for years.

This show is one of the few remaining "benched" events in the country, which means that the dogs stay on the show floor all day. Spectators can see them up close and learn about each breed.

The weekend will feature performances by the Purina Pro Plan Performance Team along with other canine exhibitions. Food concessions will be available on-site throughout both days.

Saturday's competition runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Best in Show gets announced around 6:30 p.m. Sunday's competition runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Best in Show announced around 4:30 p.m.

The venue sits at 100 Station Ave. in Oaks, PA 19456. Parking at the Expo Center is free.

Tickets are on sale now. You can purchase them online at nds.nationaldogshow.com. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 4 to 11. Kids 3 and under get in free.
