The Rehoboth Beach International Film Festival has begun its 27th edition. This year's festival runs through Sunday, Nov. 9, with screenings at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Ave. in Lewes; the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave. in Rehoboth Beach; the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, 30486 Lewes-Georgetown Highway in Lewes; and Lewes Elementary School, 820 Savannah Road in Lewes.

Attendees this year will be able to enjoy more than 100 films ranging from global dramas and local documentaries to shorts and Oscar-submitted international entries.

“We have documentaries. We have shorts — including local Delmarva shorts — and feature films,” said Lisa G. Black, the festival's artistic director, to ABC 47 News. “We have seven Oscar-nominated international submissions this year.”

The festival has become a fall tradition along the Delaware coast. Over the past two decades, visitors have come to enjoy the films and the seaside ambiance while connecting with the works of international filmmakers.
