A new sports-oriented attraction will arrive at the King of Prussia Mall in 2027.
DICK'S Sporting Goods has revealed plans to open one of its experimental stores at the King of Prussia mall, just outside Philadelphia, according to Action News 6. A DICK'S Sporting Goods location is already open at the Brandywine Town Center in Wilmington, Delaware.
According to Philadelphia BISNOW, DICK'S House of Sport will occupy part of the Simon Property Group shopping center's vacant JCPenney space. The concept for the House of Sport stores typically features activities such as rock climbing, turf fields, and ice rinks, offering interactive experiences alongside merchandise.
Simon Property Group executives say the new attraction will energize the center, boost foot traffic, and complement existing shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
The DICK'S House of Sport addition to King of Prussia Mall isn't the only location to open in the Philadelphia region over the next two years. Earlier this year, DICK'S Sporting Goods announced a 120,000-square-foot House of Sport would be coming to the Cherry Hill Mall, slated to open in 2026.
According to Real Estate NJ, this location will offer a wide selection of products and in-store experiences, including a climbing wall, multiple golf bays with TrackMan simulators, an outdoor track and field, and a multisport cage for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer.
