Dutch Wonderland Vies for USA TODAY Holiday Award

A Lancaster County attraction is in the running for Best Theme Park Holiday Event in USA TODAY's 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards.

You can vote for Dutch Wonderland's Winter Wonderland in USA TODAY's 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards poll for Best Theme Park Holiday Event. Readers can vote up to once per day through noon on Monday, Dec. 1. Winners will be announced on Dec. 10.

According to an LNP | Lancaster Online report, the polling process begins with a panel of experts selecting their initial entries. After these initial selections, readers are invited to cast their votes.

Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane is another attraction nominated for the Best Theme Park Holiday Event poll, after placing eighth last year.

Lancaster County attractions frequently appear in USA TODAY's Readers' Choice polls. In the past, businesses such as Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl and Miller's Smorgasbord in Ronks were named as top buffets, and Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, also in Ronks, was recognized as a top corn maze in September.

Other Lancaster County attractions besides Dutch Wonderland recognized in past USA TODAY Readers' Choice polls include Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, finishing third for Best Dinner Theater; the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Manheim, ranking among the top Renaissance fairs in the country; and ROOT's Country Market & Auction in Manheim, recognized as a top farmers market.
