Walnut Garden in Philadelphia is taking on a holiday theme, calling itself Walnut Wonderland. The attraction at 1708 Walnut St. in Rittenhouse Square will feature a 22-foot illuminated walk-through tree, a heated tent, festive decor, and glowing neon sculptures.
An opening night tree-lighting ceremony will take place today, Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 5:30 p.m.
Walnut Wonderland, which runs from Wednesday, Nov. 12, through Wednesday, Dec. 31, will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from noon to midnight, and Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and food and drinks are pay-as-you-go. Families and pets are welcome.
According to PhillyVoice, the schedule includes family-friendly activities such as Lunch with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 7, and a “Nearly New Year's” Countdown on New Year's Eve from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
