6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Day Parade
Philly's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the oldest in the country. The 106th parade runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 27. The event streams on 6abc, Disney+, Hulu, and ABCNewsLive.
The route starts at 20th Street and JFK Boulevard, turns left onto 16th Street, travels to Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and ends at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. For more information, visit 6abc.com.
Wilmington Jaycees Christmas Parade
A day after Black Friday, the 61st annual parade in Wilmington starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29. The Wilmington Jaycees Christmas Parade begins at Second and Market streets and ends at 11th and Market streets.
Santa will visit the Wilmington area as he listens to Christmas wish lists from kids. Little ones who share their name and address will get a reply from Santa in December. Go to visitwilmingtonde.com or wilmingtonjaycees.org for more details.
Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company Hometown Christmas Parade
Rehoboth Beach will get into the holiday spirit with a parade featuring revelers, fire trucks, and more taking over Rehoboth Avenue from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1. Visit rehobothbeachde.gov for more details.
Millsboro Christmas Parade
Head to Millsboro on Tuesday, Dec. 2, for this beloved Christmas tradition. The parade runs from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at M&T Bank on Mitchell Street, with the route traveling all the way to Main Street. Explore millsboro.org for more details.
Georgetown Christmas Parade
The 42nd annual Caroling on the Circle returns at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4. Guests will witness Georgetown in its twinkling glory as the event proceeds into the tree lighting and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce's annual Christmas parade.
The parade will also hold a food drive for Sussex County families in need. The food drive ends in late December. Donations will be collected at the holiday event at a pod on The Circle. Items can also be dropped off now through the end of December at the County Administrative Offices building in Georgetown, located near the courthouse.
Selbyville Christmas Parade
The 64th annual Selbryville Christmas parade begins around Church Street in Selbyville at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. Enjoy antique cars, food, Santa himself, and fun. A 50/50 raffle will be held to benefit the Selbyville Historical Society. Tickets are available at Town Hall for $1 each or six for $5. The drawing is Dec. 5. Laurel Christmas Parade
This year's theme is "A Whoville Christmas," and it begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, in downtown Laurel. The lineup starts at 6 p.m. on Evergreen Drive. The parade route ends at Maryland Avenue. For more details, visit townoflaurel.net.
Ocean City Christmas Parade
The Ocean City Christmas Parade in Maryland starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. The parade will have an extended route from Old Landing Road north to 120th Street. Bring chairs and blankets for viewing the parade. After the parade, families can spend time at the Carousel Hotel for more fun and an awards presentation. Visit oceancitymd.gov for details.
Downtown Middletown Holiday Spectacular Parade
The Middletown holiday parade starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. The parade route will begin at Everett Meredith Middle School, travel to South Broad Street, proceed down Main Street, and end on South Scott Street. Explore downtownmiddletownde.com for more information.
Lewes Christmas Parade
The 93rd annual Lewes Christmas Parade's theme is “Celebrating an Old-Fashioned Christmas and America's 250th." The parade will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. After the parade, guests are invited to join Mayor Amy Marasco when she officially lights the Christmas tree in Zwaanendael Park. More information is available at leweschamber.com.
Seaford Christmas Parade
This year's Seaford parade has a "Candyland Christmas" theme. The event starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, with a route beginning at Nylon Boulevard, heading down Pennsylvania Avenue to High Street, turning left onto Market Street, crossing Stein Highway, and ending near Seaford Middle School. Bridgeville Christmas Parade
The Bridgeville community will hold its Christmas parade at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13. Attendees can get something to eat from the food trucks in the Town Hall parking lot starting at 5 p.m. For more information, visit bridgeville.delaware.gov.
Hummer's Parade
Delaware hosts its own version of Philly's Mummers Parade called the "Hummer's Parade." It will be held in Middletown on New Year's Day, Thursday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m. The parade route begins at South Cass Street, proceeds onto Park Place, exits Park Place onto South Broad Street, marches down Broad Street, and proceeds left onto West Main Street, ending back on Cass Street.
