The West Chester Christkindlmarkt will return on Saturday, Dec. 13, for holiday shopping. This event will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. along Gay Street and Church Street in downtown West Chester. Held rain or shine, Christkindlmarkt will run along Gay Street between Darlington and Matlack Streets and on Church Street from Prescott Alley to Gay Street.
Now in its sixth year, the market brings a traditional European holiday ambiance with more than 100 vendors offering handcrafted and locally designed art, jewelry, ceramics, home décor, and seasonal gifts.
According to MyChesCo, activities include a Santa meet-and-greet at M&T Bank, 10 N. High Street, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., plus a 25-foot Christmas tree for photos and appearances by The Grinch near Jack Loew Plaza.
Live entertainment will feature the West Chester Borough Balladeer Carolers from noon to 2 p.m. Additional performers include Dub C Swing and the West Chester Music Academy, offering holiday music throughout the day.
Admission is free, with parking available in downtown garages and select surface lots offering special event rates.
West Chester Christkindlmarkt is a collaboration between Downtown West Chester and the Chester County Art Association.
