South Jersey is kicking off the holiday season with a string of festive parades and tree-lighting events. 

Parades and Tree Lightings

  • Festivities begin with Millville's Christmas Parade on Friday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. along High Street between Harrison and Main, featuring marching bands, floats, and Santa under the theme Christmas at the Movies.
  • Barrington will host a tree lighting and fire truck parade at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at 229 Trenton Ave., and the parade will immediately follow at 7 p.m. 
  • The Santa Parade in Haddonfield on Friday, Nov. 28, begins on Tanner Street. The tree will be lit at Library Point, then Santa and Mrs. Claus will lead the parade to Kings Court and will pose for pictures in the gazebo.
  • The 37th annual Parade of lights in Audubon kicks off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, and will feature decorated fire trucks, emergency vehicles, car clubs, and floats.
  • Pennsauken Township will host its Holiday Parade on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. It will travel from the Recreation Facility to 44th Street with fire engines, holiday floats, musical acts, and Santa in tow.
  • The Mullica Hill Lights on Main parade runs Saturday, Nov. 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will offer a Santa's workshop, Elfie Selfie station, student choir performances, snow machines, ice sculpture, and horse-drawn carriage rides, with the tree lighting at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Old Town Hall.
  • Mount Laurel will host a tree lighting on Thursday, Dec. 4, featuring Santa on a fire truck at 6 p.m., photos with Santa and the Grinch, a bounce house, and shopping along Creek Road.
  • Ocean City will host its Christmas parade on Friday, Dec. 5, with festivities kicking off at 6 p.m. It travels down Asbury Avenue and will have a variety of bands, floats and other entries.
  • In Washington Township, the Christmas Tree Lighting and Winter Village will take place on Friday, Dec. 5, with activities at 5:30 p.m. that culminate in a 7:30 p.m. tree lighting at the Washington Lake Amphitheater, plus hot chocolate, cookies, caroling, and visits from Santa.
  • Ventnor City's Twilight Holiday Parade takes place on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 5 p.m. along Ventnor Avenue, with the tree lighting at City Hall on Friday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m. 
  • West Cape May will hold its Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 6. The parade begins at the WCM Volunteer Firehouse and runs down Broadway, Perry Street, and onto Carpenter's Lane. This event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and the cost is free.
  • Hammonton will hold its annual Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 13, beginning at 7 p.m.  The public can view the parade on Bellevue Avenue/Route 54 from North Liberty Street through Egg Harbor Road.
