A long-term lane closure is planned on Route 532 (Bustleton Avenue) in Lower Southampton Township due to a pipe replacement project by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
According to The Patch of Lower Southampton, the project will begin Dec. 1 and close a lane between Fifth Street and Gerald Avenue 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through Dec. 12.
MyChesCo noted that the improvement project is designed to enhance roadway drainage and maintain long-term structural integrity of Route 532 in Southampton.
PennDOT said drivers should expect significant delays and encourages them to plan alternate routes or allow extra travel time. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
