2 PA Theme Parks Rank Among Top 10 in US for Holiday Events

Two central Pennsylvania theme parks, Dutch Wonderland and Hersheypark, earned spots in USA TODAY's 2025 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards for Best Theme Park Holiday Events, ranking sixth and ninth, respectively.

Dutch Wonderland's Dutch Winter Wonderland event, which includes cookies with Santa, various Christmas light displays, theme park rides, A Chris-Mouse Carol puppet show, and more, continues through Dec. 31. Tickets purchased online are $24.99 per person.

Dutch Wonderland is at 2249 Lincoln Highway East in Lancaster.

Hersheypark in Hershey offers Christmas Candylane during the holiday season. The experience includes more than 5 million lights, Santa and reindeer visits, a synchronized light show, family-friendly rides, thrilling coasters, and signature Hershey hot chocolate. According to an LNP | LancasterOnline report, USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice poll results also named Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Miller's Smorgasbord, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, and Root's Country Market & Auction among the best in their respective USA TODAY 10Best categories.
