If you woke up, looked outside, and wondered, “How much snow did we actually get?”, you’re not alone. According to data shared from the National Weather Service, early Sunday snow totals around the Philadelphia area ranged from just a trace in some spots to more than 4 inches in others, depending on where you live.

Snow was still falling through Sunday morning, so these measurements were taken before sunrise and are considered early estimates, with additional accumulation expected after 4 a.m. Reports say the highest total so far came out of Macungie in Lehigh County, where 4.1 inches of snow was recorded, making it one of the snowier spots in the region.

Closer to the city, many suburbs picked up a lighter, but still noticeable, coating. In Montgomery County, places like Horsham Township reported around 2.0 inches, while Cheltenham saw about 0.5 inches. Over in Bucks County, Hilltown Township measured 1.5 inches, with Levittown coming in at 0.7 inches and Oakford only seeing a trace.

According to the report, parts of Lehigh and Northampton counties also stacked up some respectable totals, including 2.7 inches in North Whitehall Township and Wescosville, and just over 3 inches in Bushkill Township. South Jersey and northern Delaware saw a mix of light to moderate snow, with spots like Mount Holly at 1.7 inches, Blackwood at 1.0 inch, Hamilton Square at 1.8 inches, and Newark, Delaware, picking up 0.8 inches.

Philadelphia International Airport only reported a trace of snow at midnight, but heavier bands moved in afterward, and updated official totals for the city are still expected. Reports say many untreated roads, especially north and west of the city, remained slick and snow-covered through the morning as the storm continued. If you’re heading out, give yourself extra time and take it slow—this winter system definitely made its presence known across the region.
