A 1,000-pound 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show butter sculpture will be unveiled on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at 1 p.m.

Attendees for the unveiling are expected to include Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, Milky Way Farm's Carolyn Matthews Eaglehouse, and butter sculptors Jim Victor and Marie Pelton from Conshohocken.

The sculpture is carved from butter donated by the Land O'Lakes plant in Carlisle. Following the Farm Show, the butter is typically recycled into biofuel.

WGAL of Lancaster will livestream the butter sculpture reveal on Thursday.

Described as the nation's largest indoor agricultural expo, the 2026 Pennsylvania Farm Show features more than 5,000 animals, over 12,000 competitive entries from more than 4,600 competitors, 250-plus commercial exhibits, and hundreds of educational and entertaining events.

With this year's theme, "Growing a Nation," the Pennsylvania Farm Show aims to showcase the diversity and quality of Pennsylvania agriculture, its innovators, and the people shaping its future. During the event, which runs from Jan. 10-17 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, visitors will discover how agriculture's economic impact on the state supports 600,000 jobs and provides approximately $132.5 billion to the state economy annually.
