Jeopardy Bar Trivia League to Launch at Malvern Restaurant

From Malvern, Pennsylvania, this is Jeopardy! 

An official Jeopardy Bar Trivia League is launching this month at Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila! in Malvern. Weekly tournaments will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Jan. 15.

The format features Daily Doubles, actual Jeopardy clues, score leaderboards, a Jeopardy-style app, and clue videos shown on screens, with hosts trained by the trivia company Geeks Who Drink.

Geeks Who Drink presents the Jeopardy Bar Trivia League with official licensing through Sony Pictures, the parent company of Jeopardy!

According to The Patch of Malvern, teams compete with no entry fee beyond patronizing the hosting bar or restaurant. The league plans to grow local interest and explore potential pathways to audition for the main Jeopardy! show, although specifics are still being developed.

Prize winners can receive $25 gift cards to local restaurants and businesses, including Cuba Libre, Paladar Latin Kitchen, and Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila!, among others.

"It's not old yet," said Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila! co-owner Barry Gutin of Jeopardy! Bar League. "But it's starting to spread out to a few different cities.

Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila! offers lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, happy hour, and a range of drinks — tequila, rum, and craft beers — with menus available online.

Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila! is located at The Grove, 10 Liberty Blvd. in Malvern. It also operates a Newtown location at 2930 S. Eagle Road.
