3 Philadelphia Districts Recommended by MICHELIN

Philadelphia's MICHELIN-guided neighborhoods offer a curated map of where to eat and stay. The MICHELIN Guide editorial team recently profiled Rittenhouse Square, Fishtown, and Bella Vista and East Passyunk in South Philadelphia communities as the city's coolest areas to visit and dine.

Fishtown, an evolving River Wards neighborhood with industrial roots, is home to MICHELIN-recognized spots like Pizzeria Beddia, Kalaya, Suraya, and Laser Wolf, plus MICHELIN-key hotels such as Wm. Mulherin's and Lokal Hotel Fishtown.

Rittenhouse Square is depicted as a central, elegant hub of Philadelphia with European-influenced cafés, historic architecture, the One MICHELIN Key Rittenhouse Hotel, and a mix of dining options. Restaurants range from Zahav offshoot Dizengoff to Friday Saturday Sunday, Little Water, Sally, and Her Place Supper Club.

Bella Vista and East Passyunk, two prominent neighborhoods in South Philadelphia, emphasize Italian influences and immigrant culinary diversity. Anchor dining establishments include Angelo's, Fiorella, El Chingon, River Twice, and Mish Mish. The Yowie Hotel on South Street offers the area's only lodging. 

River Twice marks Little Water's Randy Rucker's first Philly restaurant. Mish Mish offers Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as bergamot-oiled snapper crudo and sherry-glazed beets tonnato. The owner, Alex Tewfik, is a wine expert.
