The 'Lines on the Pines' festival will return to the Pine Barrens for its 22nd year at the Stockton University Campus Center, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, in Galloway, New Jersey. The event will take place on Sunday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year's theme centers on Safety and Preparedness in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, with more than 100 participants anticipated. The event is free and open to the public, organized by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit It's a Sign of the Pines. This nonprofit focuses on sharing information with the public about the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

According to The Patch of Galloway, exhibits during the event will feature books on Pine Robbers, the Jersey Devil, mysteries, and historical novels, along with the Stockton table featuring its publication, SoJourn. Local artist Kathy English contributed a commissioned watercolor titled "Gathering at the Mullica River" and related prints and patches.

Activities will include book signings, history displays, arts and crafts, music, and animal demonstrations. Redbird Flying, Acoustic Music Guild, Groggy Pine Boys, and Chris Egnoto will provide entertainment. Additional participants include the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission with an American Revolutionary War truck and the Funny Farm Rescue Sanctuary.
