In addition, living history interpreters will present colonial-era demonstrations and stories in period clothing and with period artifacts to create an immersive experience for all ages.

Brandywine Battlefield Park spans 52 acres and is a National Historic Landmark. The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission stewards the site with support from the Brandywine Battlefield Park Associates.

According to Chadds Ford Live, Pennsylvania's charter history dates to 1681, when King Charles II granted William Penn a charter for the colony. Close to a century later, the state played a significant role in the American Revolution, including the Battle of Brandywine, fought on Sept. 11, 1777.
