The Berks County Conservation District will host its fifth annual Conservation Celebration event on Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Berks County 4-H Grounds at 1238 County Welfare Road in Leesport. The free family event, promoting conservation, gardening, and environmental stewardship, will be held rain or shine.
According to a Berks Weekly report, the event is being held in conjunction with the Master Gardeners Plant Sale, giving attendees a chance to shop for plants during the day.

Event organizers noted that the festival lineup will feature live music by Golden Twine, line dancing with Boot Scootin Becky, a rain barrel auction, a Smokey Bear visit, educational displays from the Berks and Schuylkill County Beekeeper Association, a Touch-a-Truck experience, and a Kids' Corner with children's activities. Mini workshops will cover topics such as worm composting and container gardening.
Food will be available from Schaeffer Catering to attendees who wish to eat during the event, complementing the music and hands-on learning experiences.
