South Philadelphia isn't just a hub for cheesesteaks alone. It'll soon be a place to get in a round of golf.
Birdie Club, an indoor golf simulator concept, plans to open on the ground floor of 21 Wolf St. in South Philadelphia, near Swanson and Wolf Streets. The project is part of a broader development initiative for the South Philly block, which includes Isgro Pastries' plans for a commercial bakery with a cafe, Angelo's Pizzeria expansion across Wolf Street, and a cleared former Inolex Chemical plant site set for retail use.
Birdie Club owner Adria Rebbecchi and her husband, Brad Ricciardi, told The Philadelphia Inquirer they plan to feature five Trackman golf simulator bays designed for practice, casual play, and family-friendly games.

Upon opening, the Philadelphia location will be the company's third site. Rebbecchi and Ricciardi are licensing the concept from a friend who opened the original, they said.
“We're really golf-first,” said Rebbecchi, a Philadelphia native who returned to the area about five years ago after living in Tampa, Florida, where the couple met while she was in college. “The simulators have everything — you can play courses from around the world, and there are games like mini golf and things for kids — but the emphasis is on the golf.”
According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, the on-site restaurant and beverage program will be modest. It will offer a limited food menu (hot dogs, soft pretzels, and snacks) and a restricted drink list (beer, wine, and canned hard seltzers) pending a liquor license. The location sits in a mixed industrial-to-residential area, with convenient access to I-95 and near notable South Philadelphia landmarks like 2300 Arena.
When it opens, Birdie Club will join several indoor golf facilities in the region, which include Five Iron Golf, Fairways & Dreams Indoor Golf, X-Golf Garnet Valley, Dogleg Golf, Elevate Golf Lounge, Sector X, Ballers Sports & Social, and other simulator-focused clubs.
