Get ready to experience some spine-tingling thrills and chills of Halloween in April. The East Coast Haunters Convention will run from Thursday, April 23, through Sunday, April 26, at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania, delivering a dose of early-season Halloween spirit to the region.
According to PhillyVoice, the four-day event is open to the public and attracts home haunters, professional haunted attraction operators, scare actors, and Halloween fans. Guests are invited to attend in costume.
Attendees can explore a large vendor floor stocked with masks, costumes, props, animatronics, and other haunted-house gear, along with live demos and seminars on makeup effects, special effects, and haunting designs.
Interactive events will also be part of the convention activities. Guests can experience the Haunt Olympics, focusing on scare acting, costume design, and set building, plus a costume contest for attendees to show off their creepiest looks.
Several ticket packages will include guided bus tours to major haunted attractions in the region, such as Kim's Krypt Haunted Mill, Lehigh Valley Scream Park, Pennhurst Asylum, and the Lincoln Mill Haunted House.
Ticket prices are $40 for Sunday access, $50 for Saturday access, and $65 for a full weekend pass. Admission prices will increase after April 10.
