The sights, sounds, and smells of summer come alive each year on boardwalks across New Jersey. The state has several boardwalks that are among the most popular destinations for residents and visitors. As part of its annual 10Best Readers' Choice poll, USA TODAY is inviting the public to vote for the best boardwalks in America in 2026, and five New Jersey boardwalks are vying for recognition.

An expert panel assembled by USA TODAY nominated the most outstanding boardwalks in the country. The publication's editors have narrowed these recommendations to a list of 20, which includes the following five New Jersey boardwalks:
- Atlantic City Boardwalk: Atlantic City, New Jersey
- Boardwalk at Point Pleasant Beach: Point Pleasant, New Jersey
- Ocean City Boardwalk: Ocean City, New Jersey
- Seaside Heights Boardwalk: Seaside Heights, New Jersey
- Wildwoods Boardwalk: Wildwood, New Jersey
USA TODAY encourages readers and the public to cast their votes once per day for their top choices now through Monday, April 6, at noon. The 10Best Readers' Choice winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 15.
In last year's USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice awards, the Wildwoods Boardwalk, Atlantic City Boardwalk, and Ocean City Boardwalk all made it into the top 10 rankings.
