A Bucks County community Easter egg hunt for those who are blind or visually impaired will return this Saturday, March 28.

Organized by the Newtown Rotary Club in partnership with the Montgomery County Bomb Squad and the Bucks County Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Newtown Community Egg Hunt will feature a dedicated activity for area residents who are blind and visually impaired.

According to a Patch of Newtown report, the bomb squad will bring its "beeping eggs" to the event and scatter them across a portion of the field at Goodnoe Elementary School. Participants can then follow the beeping sounds to find the eggs.

The "beeping" egg hunt begins at 10:45 a.m. The larger community egg hunt will follow promptly at 11 a.m. and will progress through various age group categories from youngest to oldest: 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8-9, 10-11-12, 13-17, 18 and older (parents and adults), and grandparents.

This egg-hunt activity is free and open to the public.

In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be Sunday, March 29, at 2 p.m. If a third rain date is needed, the hunt will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4.
