A new Star Lite Diner is opening in North Wildwood, New Jersey, reviving the former Star Diner's legacy with a modern pop art-inspired aesthetic.
According to a North Wildwood Today report, diner owners George and his brother Argy, veterans of the former Lamppost Diner, bring decades of restaurant know-how to serve homemade, from-scratch meals. They aim to deliver refreshed interpretations of classic breakfast offerings.
Following the Lamppost Diner's closure in the early 2000s, George and Argy worked at the Pier House in Cape May, combining their signature breakfast offerings with an upscale dinner experience.

When it opens, the Star Lite Diner will be a true family-led business, with George and Argy's mother, who previously helped run the Lamppost Diner during its peak years, returning to work there.
The new Star Lite Diner is expected to open around Mother's Day weekend at 325 W. Spruce Ave. and operate year-round from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
As the North Wildwood Today report noted, the Star Lite Diner will be housed in the former Marvis Pancake House building.
