The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia is launching new gallery exhibitions and programs to mark America's 250th anniversary. New exhibits at the National Constitution Center will focus on the American Revolution, the drafting of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the fight for women's rights, and the separation of powers in the U.S. government.

According to an Action News 6abc report, the America's Founding gallery covers the American Revolution, the drafting of the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. It will also include the display of a rare original printing of the Constitution.

A Separation of Powers gallery will open in May, offering interactive experiences for visitors.

The center's 19th Amendment exhibit details the long fight for women's rights — from the Seneca Falls movement to the ongoing Equal Rights Amendment effort.

In addition to the new galleries, the National Constitution Center itself is expected to be at the center of Philadelphia's 250th celebrations this July. The center will take part in the city's 52 Weeks of Firsts festival on Sept. 5.

Throughout this U.S. 250th anniversary year, the National Constitution Center will educate the public about the U.S. Constitution and democracy, highlighting both the founding era of our nation and the enduring legacy of this document.
