About Cherry Street Pier
Cherry Street Pier is a 65,000-square-foot former shipping pier in Philadelphia that has been adapted as a mixed-use public space, preserving its 1919 Shipping Pier 9 heritage. Today, the site is home to repurposed shipping containers, where artists-in-residence demonstrate their creativity for the community.
The open-air corridor along the Pier's main thoroughfare offers a market-like commercial space where members of the public can view and purchase works by the artists.
An open-air garden under the Pier's steel trusses offers concessions, space for recreation and relaxation, and accessible views of the Delaware River.
