The Delco 10 Miler is back in 2026. Changes for this year's event include a revised course, more bathrooms and water stops at the start, and four staggered starts based on runner speeds.
Registration is now open for the Oct. 4 race, with a cap of 2,500 runners as the field grows larger and the pace requirement increases.
While race organizers believe the inaugural event was a success, race director Kevin Nolan told The Philadelphia Inquirer that the route had some issues to address for this year.
Nolan said some residents and drivers traveling through the race area were unhappy with road closures, which impacted a significant part of Delaware County. The course‘s adjustments should result in fewer closures along main roads this year.
What's Changing for 2026?
The race will begin again at Rose Tree Park in Upper Providence and end at Subaru Park in Chester. Last year, the race shut down portions of Route 252 and Route 320, as well as parts of Third, Fourth, and Fifth streets in Chester.
The Philadelphia Inquirer details the following course for this year:
-
Start at Rose Tree Park South on Providence Road/Route 252.
-
Turn right on West Rose Valley Road.
-
Turn left on Bickmore Drive.

In addition to route changes, the event will require a faster pace. Runners will need to maintain a minimum pace of 13 minutes, 30 seconds per mile. Last year's minimum pace was 15 minutes per mile.
The Delco 10 Miler will benefit The HEADstrong Foundation, Elwyn, The Riddle HealthCare Foundation, and Delco Volunteers.
