The KSQ Farmers Market in Kennett Square is returning for a new season starting Friday, May 1. The market will operate on a weekly Friday schedule running from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 600 S. Broad St. More than 20 local farms, food producers, and artisans are expected to attend each week.

Market visitors will be able to shop for a broad range of seasonal goods from local vendors. These items include produce, pasture-raised meats, breads, preserves, and flowers.

According to a MyChesCo report, this year the market will introduce new offerings such as housemade pastas from Sweet Amelia's, Cedar Creek Catering's ready-to-eat barbecue, and rotating appearances by Creekside Coffee Roasting and Hangry Bear Creamery. Guests can also enjoy a rotating selection of drinks and ice cream.

Family-friendly activities are expanding this year with a dedicated coloring table, programs from community groups, and a new reading area curated by Forage Books to engage younger visitors.

“We have so many regular customers, and the customers are what really make the market,” said Liam Miller of Full Table Farm in a statement shared with MyChesCo, “so many dedicated customers that I love getting to know.”

“Kennett feels like home for us,” added Jake Moore of Moore Meats. “It's a true farmers market. You can find most of what you need for home cooking here.”

The market maintains its partnership with Kennett Area Community Service (KACS), inviting donations of fresh food and pantry items to be distributed weekly to neighbors in need.
