Roxborough is gearing up for one of its biggest days of the year as the 24th Annual Roxborough Spring Fest and Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show return to Ridge Avenue for an all‑day celebration of music, art, food, and community. Organized by the Roxborough Development Corporation in partnership with the Roxborough Ridge Runners Car Club, the event brings together two beloved neighborhood traditions for a high‑energy, all‑ages festival anchored in local pride.

This year’s Spring Fest holds special significance as part of Philadelphia’s 250th Anniversary celebrations, with support from the City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia250’s RingItOn! initiative. The festival will take place along Ridge Avenue from Leverington Avenue to Fountain Street, running from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and will feature an expanded footprint for the second year in a row.

Visitors can expect a full day of activity, including live music across three performance zones, a large classic car showcase, more than 70 local artisans, and a wide selection of food and drink from Ridge Avenue restaurants and award‑winning food trucks. Craft beverages will be available from New Ridge Brewing Company and Top Dog Cocktails, adding to the festival’s lively atmosphere.

A standout attraction is Rockin’ the Ridge, presented by the Ridge Runners Car Club. The car show lines Ridge Avenue with classic, custom, and specialty vehicles, drawing car enthusiasts, families, and visitors from across the region. It’s one of the most visually striking elements of the festival and a longtime fan favorite.

Art and creativity are also front and center. The Student Art Show, “Doodle the Dream: The Next 250!”, invites young artists to imagine Roxborough’s future through cartoon‑inspired storytelling. Developed in partnership with the City of Philadelphia, the Department of Commerce, Mural Arts, and local artist Meghan Turbitt, the exhibit celebrates the spirit of Philly 250 while spotlighting student voices and creativity.

Music lovers can move between stages throughout the day, with performances curated by RoxYunk Porch Fest alongside the MGMT Main Stage and Community Stage in Pocket Park. From local bands and school ensembles to dance groups and community performers, the rotating lineup keeps the energy flowing across the corridor.

Families will find plenty to explore, from hands‑on art demos and spin art to interactive education experiences like beehive demonstrations and open‑air painting. The Community & Family Zone in Pocket Park serves as a central gathering space, highlighting local youth groups, organizations, and performers.

New this year, the Community Wellness Village presented by IBX offers a calm, welcoming space focused on health, connection, and care, complete with shade, hydration, light movement sessions, and family‑friendly activities.

Free to attend and open to the public, Roxborough Spring Fest continues to grow as a cornerstone of neighborhood celebration—bringing together history, creativity, and community in the heart of Roxborough.
