Philadelphia Cycling Classic Seeks Volunteers for August Race

The Philadelphia Cycling Classic is returning for a 2026 race weekend on Aug. 29–30, and organizers are seeking hundreds of volunteers to support various race operations.

Volunteer roles range from course marshals and hospitality staff to medical control athlete escorts, all contributing to rider safety, guest services, and post-race operations.

Volunteers can also support the Philadelphia Cycling Classic Charity Ride that benefits the American Association for Cancer Research. This event enables participants to ride the course themselves while raising funds for a good cause.

According to a MyChesCo report, the event dates back to 1985 and aims to unite elite athletes, fans, and the city in a celebration of sport and community pride. This year, it will be backed by title sponsor AmeriGas.

The course spans multiple Philadelphia locations, including Lemon Hill, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and Manayunk, taking racers through diverse neighborhoods.
