Breeze Airways has announced four new routes from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY).
According to an NJ.com report, the new service from ACY includes the following:
- Orlando, Florida: Nonstop daily service starting July 3
- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Nonstop service beginning Oct. 22
- Fort Myers, Florida: Nonstop service starting Oct. 22
- West Palm Beach, Florida: Nonstop service beginning Dec. 17
Breeze Airways' announcement comes after Spirit Airlines issued a statement on Saturday, May 2, that it would go out of business and conduct an “orderly wind-down of our operations.”
Spirit's decision to end service at ACY has led to disruptions for travelers who must rebook or manage changed itineraries. NJ.com noted that Spirit had been one of only a few commercial carriers serving the airport.
Breeze Airways, which has been gradually increasing its presence in New Jersey since 2024, announced in January that it would start offering regular service from ACY. The airline will offer flights to Tampa, Florida; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; and Charleston, South Carolina.
While Allegiant Air has not issued a formal statement related to Spirit's decision to end service, Allegiant Air currently serves ACY. Allegiant, launched in 2021, is rapidly growing and now serves more than 80 cities nationwide.
