Winery weddings are becoming increasingly popular in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Vineyards are opening their doors to create desirable venues for wedding proposals, rehearsal dinners, and celebrations.
The county itself is home to several standout wineries, such as Va La Vineyards in Avondale and Kreutz Creek Vineyards in West Grove, which was transformed into Acadian Wine Company in 2022.
At the Inn at Grace Winery in Glen Mills, for example, the management team expanded its event facilities to accommodate demand from couples planning weddings. “We try to keep the number of weddings to around 20 a year,” said events manager Alie Goodwin in a statement shared with The Hunt magazine. “Weddings have become so popular that we decided to add a second barn for accommodations so we wouldn't interfere with having our wine tastings.”

“Winery weddings are an up-and-coming thing,” said New Jersey-based wedding planner Heidi Kern, who selects Brandywine Valley vineyards for many of the ceremonies she organizes. “They provide a really fun vibe and a more friendly setting — and we can use local wines and beers for these events.”
The wedding services industry, which includes wineries and vineyard venues, is projected to reach a global value of approximately $95 billion by 2030, according to a VISTA.TODAY report. Overall, the growth in winery weddings continues to be driven by scenic settings, local craftsmanship, and the intimate, family-operated nature of these venues.
