Aspire Youth Development has opened enrollment for its new Film Readiness & Media Education (FRAME) program. The free, 18-week training initiative helps prepare South Jersey residents for careers in the rapidly expanding film and digital media industry.

According to a New Jersey Stage report, FRAME serves Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. Activities through FRAME include camera operation, lighting, sound, video editing, and production assistance, as well as professional development and industry exposure.

The program is delivered in partnership with Creative Content OnDemand, a South Jersey media company with more than 25 years of experience in production and workforce training.

The initiative aims to build a local talent pipeline and provide accessible pathways into the film industry, addressing longstanding barriers to entry in New Jersey's film sector.

“Aspire is excited to prepare and connect South Jersey residents with the technical training and essential workplace skills needed to seize opportunities in film and media,” said Curtis Myers, one of the program leaders, in a statement shared with New Jersey Stage.

FRAME is fully funded by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's Filmworks Grant, making participation free for residents.

Classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 12 to Sept. 10 at 139 Gaither Drive in Mt. Laurel. Interested applicants can complete an online interest form. Selected participants will be invited to interview for the first cohort, which will form in early May. Through the experience, participants will receive hands-on training and direct exposure to industry opportunities, helping grow South Jersey's film and media workforce.
