After more than two decades of entertaining, leading, and connecting with listeners across the region, Mark “Razz” has announced his retirement from Beasley Media Group’s 92.5 XTU, with his final day on‑air set for Friday, May 22, 2026.
Razz has been a familiar and trusted voice for Philadelphia radio audiences for 26 years, including 20 years at WXTU. Since joining Beasley Media Group in March 2006, he has played a major role in shaping the station’s sound and success, most recently hosting middays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Razz on the Radio while also serving as Program Director since 2019.
Razz joined Nicole Michalik on the air on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, to make the announcement.
Before arriving at XTU, Razz spent six years as Afternoon Drive host at WMMR‑FM from 2000 to 2006, further cementing his presence across the Philadelphia radio landscape. Over the years, he became known not only for his personable on‑air style but also for his behind‑the‑scenes leadership, mentorship, and dedication to country music and the artists who define it.
Under Razz’s guidance, 92.5 XTU earned numerous industry honors, including multiple nominations for CMA Major Market Radio Station of the Year between 2020 and 2025. His impact was also recognized on the talent side, earning ACM and CMA Major Market Personality of the Year nominations in 2014 and 2015. The station’s momentum continued with a 2024 ACM Major Market Radio Station of the Year win, along with NAB Marconi Award nominations in 2022 and the honor of being named Country Station of the Year in 2024.
Reflecting on his career, Razz shared gratitude for the listeners and colleagues who have been part of the journey, noting the lasting place Philadelphia holds in his heart.
Leadership at Beasley Media Group echoed that sentiment, highlighting Razz’s lasting influence on the station’s culture, sound, and success. His leadership helped leave XTU stronger than ever, with a team and audience deeply connected to the brand.
For 92.5 XTU listeners, Razz wasn’t just a voice on the radio — he was a steady companion during commutes, workdays, and everyday moments. His retirement marks the end of an era, but also a celebration of a career that helped define country radio in Philadelphia.
As May 22 approaches, the XTU family and listeners alike have one thing in common: deep appreciation for everything Razz brought to the microphone — and everything he leaves behind.
Thank you, Razz. 🤠🎶
